hi, i'm ayce

reclaiming me
I'm a working parent to young kids. Somewhere after they arrived, I lost a bit of who I was. This is me reclaiming me.
I'm learning out loud: trying things, failing at some, doing well at others, and learning from all of it. Learning doesn't stop when you grow up. Every try, good or bad, makes us a little better, and hopefully a little better as people too.
Ask Ayce is the beauty of boring: the plain tasks that fill most of a day, the hobby that has my whole brain this month, the side hustle math, and the things I try along the way. The kids are in the frame because that is real life, never the topic. It is me finding myself again in the ordinary, one try at a time.
This is also where I ask myself the hard questions out loud. Was it worth it? Did I learn something? What beauty can I find in today? And the big one, what am I doing here? I want the answer to be because I felt called to be, and I wanted to answer that call. I want to do because I want to do, not because it's what I've seen others do. If you want to ask yourself the same questions, come learn alongside me.
What are you doing here? (1 Kings 19:9)
what you'll find here
- the beauty of boring The ordinary tasks that fill most of the day: dishes, laundry, lunches, the desk. Said out loud while my hands do the work, and calm on purpose.
- hobby hyperfixation Curiosity on purpose. Whatever has my whole brain right now: why it grabbed me, the rabbit holes, the gear and the progress.
- hobby to side hustle Taking a hobby and seeing it through: can it pay for itself? Honest numbers either way.
- tried it Something I actually tried in a plain week or a hobby, and the questions I ask myself after. Did I learn something? Did I see it through? Then a real yes or no.
what i stand by
The plain day is the point. Here is what you will always get here, and what you never will.
the boring part, kept in
- A real yes or no, and no counts as much as yes
- The plain version of the day, hands in the sink and all
- Honest numbers on anything I try to sell
- One thing to do tonight, in every post
the parts i leave out
- Fear-bait, or a lecture
- The kids as the topic
- A verdict I didn't earn by trying it
- AI as the subject, ever

you might be wondering
Are you sponsored?
Sometimes, and it says so in the first line of the post or the first second of the reel. Sponsors never see a post before it goes up.
Is this a tech channel?
No. The AI builds live on Ask AI-yce. This is the everyday stuff: the plain days, the hobbies, the side hustle math.
Can I suggest a topic?
Please do. The ask page goes straight to my Friday pile.
